Experience Easter for Reception led by Worship Leaders

A huge well done to our Worship Leaders in Years 5 and 6 for planning and organising an Easter Experience for our youngest children in Reception.  Each group told a part of the Easter story and planned some very creative activities including coin rubbing, plasticine and play people, sticks and even pin the tail on the donkey! Thank you so much to Reception who were so attentive and willing to try everything.  As always, thank you also to Sian, Father Chris and Mother Sarah at Church of Ascension for their time, guidance and enthusiasm!

Year 5 at the Black Country Museum

Year 5 had a great day at the Black Country Living Museum today finding out about post-war Britain. We found out about savings boxes in the West Bromwich Building Society and enjoyed some hand-jiving in the music shop!

Year 5 Easter Experience

Year 5 visited Church of the Ascension for an Easter Experience which involved rock decorating, making play doh creations and receiving bread and wine for the Last Supper.

KS2 Choir at Elements’ Choir Day

EDLT Choir Day

On Wednesday, 53 children from our KS2 Choir travelled over to Christchurch, Coseley, to take part in a Trust-wide choir day. Each school was given the chance to perform to one another as well as learn new songs together.

Our choir performed ‘Waymaker’, ‘Do Re Mi’ (complete with actions) and ‘The Blessing’.

Well done to all of the children who represented our school so brilliantly. We are so proud of you and the fantastic singing that you produce!

Year 6 Writing

As part of our book study, Otter’s Moon, the children have been working on some drama to develop their creative writing.

Spring is in the air

After learning about World War 2 rationing in history last term, we decided to have our own allotment area to grow some vegetables. The children will be planting and caring for a selection of vegetables and combining their knowledge of street art to make the area more attractive. Keep up to date with our progress.
