Church Club

We have loved learning about ‘The Lord is my shepherd’ in Church Club this week. Thanks as always to Sheila, Sian, Father Chris and the team. Take a look at Jackson and Eva’s work.

We’re taking notice for our wellbeing!

Our Wellbeing Buddies theme for this half term is ‘Take Notice’.  Some of you have been taking notice of your local environment – well done!

If anyone has any photos to share or inspire us, please send to hmoore@chur-ascen.dudley.sch.uk.

A visit from staff at West Bromwich Building Society

Thank you to staff from West Bromwich Building Society for visiting us today to support us with our Money Matters topic in PSHE.

British Science Week in Years 5 and 6

We have launched a science invention challenge in Years 5 and 6 to celebrate British Science Week.  What can we do to improve the air quality of a particular area within our part of the school? Entries for this competition need to be submitted by Thursday 27th March. (A copy of the information given to the children can be accessed in the Letters Home section of our website in Parents’ Area). Good luck!

5/6M Book Club

As part of our wellbeing ‘Take Notice’ theme, we have focussed on the genre of fantasy in today’s book club.  Some children shared their books and recommendations from this genre with lots of enthusiasm.

Fantastic Geography Homework Projects

Well done 6M – you have worked hard at home to research the events at Holderness coast and to create your own newspaper articles. I’m proud of you!

Year 5 Walk Through The Bible

Well done to our Year 5s for working so hard with David to remember 40 actions and key words from the Old Testament.  We look forward to presenting these to the whole school next week and receiving our certificates and mini book of Bible stories. Thank you to Church of the Ascension for joining in our sessions and funding our books.
