The preparations will continue into next week, ready for the tree dressing at the end of November.
3 months ago Posted on 09th Nov 2025 by Mrs H Moore Year 5 Pilgrim’s Quest visit to Worcester Cathedral What a fantastic day out to Worcester Cathedral we had! We had a guided tour finding out about the history of the building, including finding out about a real Worcester pilgrim, we made crafts related to the magnificent building and there was even a bit of feet washing for some. Our Year 5 children did themselves and us proud impressing our guides with their knowledge, behaviour and manners. The children have been welcomed back any time. If in Worcester, do pay a visit .

4 months ago Posted on 11th Oct 2025 by Mrs H Moore Walk through the Bible with Year 6 This week, Year 6 have completed their walk through the New Testament with David Brown. In the last few weeks, they have learnt 40 key words and actions to help them to remember some of the stories and the children have been amazing! David actually said they maybe the best he has ever seen after they performed all the actions and words in our collective worship on Thursday. The children were also presented with a certificate and a Walk through the Bible book, paid for by Church of the Ascension,containing the stories they have learnt about. Well done Year 6 – you filled us with pride – keep it up!
4 months ago Posted on 11th Oct 2025 by Mrs H Moore Class 5/6M Printing As part of our art work leading up to finding out about the artist, Friedensreich Hundertwasser, a busy Friday afternoon was spent creating a house monoprint. We did this by taking a section of our previous sketch of a house and using a viewfinder to enlarge it, before making a print. Well done 5/6M – some creative work!

Our work has been inspired by the book, ‘The Dot’, which is a story about aspiring higher, perseverance and resilience. We have written poetry, created patterns in Maths with polygons in Year 6 (using dotted paper of course), used dots to represent co-ordinates in Year 5, explored the work of Kandinsky in Art and looked at growth mindset ready to start the year.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t choose you all but all of us have an important role to play in our wellbeing. 16 of our boys and girls from every class in KS2 were chosen and have begun their training with Amy already!

Some of our Year 6s have been painting scenery and making props for our forthcoming production – can you guess what it’s about? All this and ……we’ve even managed to harvest some vegetables!
