Harvest 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

The time for our annual harvest festival is fast approaching. We will be visiting Church where our Worship Leaders will lead our services. Key Stage 1 children will visit Church at 9:30am, with Key Stage 2 children following on at 10:00am.

Our School Council have again chosen to support the Black Country Food Bank.

Black Country Foodbank helps vulnerable individuals and families in crisis through the provision of 3 days emergency food supplies while a longer-term solution is developed. The services they provide have an enormous impact on the people who use them, giving them an important breathing space at a time of great need.

Items donated will be packaged up and collected by the Foodbank service directly. Out of date items, or items containing alcohol, cannot be accepted. The Black Country Foodbank website lists items that are needed particularly at the moment. A copy of the current shortages is attached to the bottom of this letter. Items can be brought into school from Monday 13th October. Our donations will be collected on the Monday 20th October, so please, no more donations after this date.

As always, we thank you in advance for sharing donations with our chosen harvest festival charity.

Vaccination UK, who are commissioned by the NHS to provide child immunisations within schools, will be attending our school to deliver the Flu Nasal Spray’s or IM alternative (porcine free injection) on Tuesday 14th October. It is important that Vaccination UK receive a consent form back for every child, even if you do NOT wish for your child to receive the immunisation, there is an option to decline. Failure to complete a consent form, may result in your child missing their flu immunisation this year. We cannot guarantee that you will be contacted by our team to obtain consent. Parking Around School

Could we please remind parents to be considerate when parking around school at drop off and pick up times. Please also be careful not to go onto pavements, the footpath is very narrow around the school gates on New Street and we need to ensure all our children are kept safe when arriving at and leaving school.

We appreciate your support.

School Photographer

The photographer will be in school on Tuesday 16th September to take individual and sibling photographs.

Class 4C – as children will be going swimming at 9am, if possible, can they arrive at school at 8:30am to have their photograph taken before they go. There will be an opportunity for them to have a photograph when they return from swimming if they are unable to make it into school for 8:30am. Any children in 4C who have a sibling in school, can they also come in for their sibling photograph.

Class 1C – can children please come to school dressed in their school uniform and bring their Forest School clothes with them to change into after their photograph has been taken.

If children have younger siblings at nursery/pre-school and they would like a photograph taken with them, please come to the hall at 8:30 and we will fit you in when we can.

Thank you for your support.
