Dear Parents and Carers,
We are delighted to be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 5th March!
This special day is all about promoting a love of reading and celebrating the wonderful world of books. To help us mark the occasion, we would like to invite the children to:
- Dress up as their favourite book character
• Bring the book linked to their costume (if possible) to share with their class
• Bring a pre-loved book to take part in our exciting Book Swap
Throughout the day, the children will enjoy a range of reading activities, opportunities to share stories and time to talk about their favourite books with friends and staff.
For our Book Swap, please send in one good-quality book that your child no longer needs. In return, they will have the chance to choose a different book to take home and enjoy. We kindly ask that books brought in are suitable for primary school-aged children.
Costumes do not need to be expensive or elaborate; homemade and simple ideas are always fabulous. The focus of the day is on celebrating reading and sharing our love of stories.
We can’t wait to see all of the wonderful characters come to life!
Thank you for your continued support.
Kind regards,
Mrs S Peters
