Head teacher’s message

What a great week we have had.  The Secret Readers, Book Swap and Gift Books were a huge success and we all had a really lovely World Book Day.  It was marvellous to see the whole school reading.  Thank you all for your support with the day and for the donations of books.

Wellbeing Buddies lead our assembly on Thursday, encouraging us all to ‘take notice’.  They encouraged us all to be more present and to make sure that we take notice of the environment around us.  The sun shining this week has certainly helped with that!  Classes have been encouraged to play different types of music and look at different types of art, for us to appreciate.  We look forward to hearing about how children have been ‘taking notice’, at home, as well.

My sincere apologies for the ongoing issues with booking school lunches.  We are working closely with AIP, our catering supplier, to address these.

Just a quick reminder that there are no local elections this year, so school will not be closed.

Wishing you all a very lovely weekend.

Eucharist Assembly 3.3.25

We are very grateful to Father Adam for leading our termly Eucharist assembly, this week. Father Adam told the story of the Prodigal Son to support us in our understanding of the Christian Core Value of Forgiveness.  We were delighted to welcome members of the church and local community to take Communion with us.

School Lunches

Could we remind parents to book their child’s lunch at least 24 hours beforehand. If a child requests a lunch and it hasn’t been pre-booked then they will be offered a sandwich. Menus are now available to book on Eduspot until the end of the half term. Thank you for your support.

Mother’s Day Sale

The H.S.A will again be hosting a Mother’s Day sale on the afternoon of Friday 28th March if children would like to take part.

Reception Parents

As part of our World Book Day celebrations, we have ‘Book Wish List’ boxes in school where children can write the name and author of a book that they would like us to buy for their class book corner. Could we ask parents of Reception children if they would like to write these for their children and send them into school with them?

Thank you for your support.

Fantastic Geography Homework Projects

Well done 6M – you have worked hard at home to research the events at Holderness coast and to create your own newspaper articles. I’m proud of you!

Water Transpiration Experiment

In year 3 and 4, we have been looking at plants as part of our science topic. We have been looking at water transpiration. We placed some white flowers in some water with food colouring. This showed us how water travels around a plant.

Our School is Springing into Life!

Today we took the time to appreciate all the signs of new life around our school. The children were so inspired they created their own snowdrop artwork when they came back to the classroom.

2S love books!

The children thoroughly enjoyed swapping their books with the other year groups. I can’t wait to hear all about the new stories the children are going to read.

Girls Dudley 6 a-side Finals

Having qualified through the local competition for the finals day, our girls competed in the event today. A flying start saw us qualify second from our league and then ultimately finish seventh overall. There were sixteen teams at the finals day with forty three schools originally entering the competition. A great effort enjoyed by all the girls – well done!
