Head teacher’s update

It has been another very busy week, at Church of the Ascension.  Our reception pupils have been busy being scientists and hunting down dinosaurs! There were many excellent homework projects from years 5 and 6 to celebrate in Praise Assembly, this morning.  I have learnt a lot about coastal erosion, by reading them.

Thank you to all of those who have responded to the dinner provision survey.  The survey is still open should you still wish to respond –  AIP survey.   I will be meeting with representatives from AIP, next week.

I had the privilege of attending the Dudley School’s  R.E. Debates with 4 pupils from years 5 and 6.  The children were incredibly brave and were the first of the teams to put their motion forward that all schools should teach all religions and faiths in R.E. lessons.  This was opposed by Pedmore Primary School.  We then watched the remaining debates and our children asked some very insightful questions of the other teams. Well done and thank you to the children that represented our school so well.
