Head teacher’s update

Many thanks to the HSA for all of their hard work in hosting the Mothers’ Day Sale, today.  The children have enjoyed the opportunity to make purchases for someone special.

Huge well done to our Cross Country team who competed against other Dudley Schools at Summerhill, this week.  We were very proud of how well the children represented the school.

Good luck to our Football Team who play against Maidensbridge, this evening.

I have met with Stephanie Cox of AIP to discuss the issues and concerns raised by both pupils and families.  Stephanie is committed to addressing the issues raised.  I have been present in the dinner hall every day for the past couple of weeks and have spoken to children about the food that they have enjoyed and the food that they do not like.  The last service for dinners has consistently been 12:30, which should hopefully allow sufficient time for children to eat. I will continue to monitor this closely.  There has been fresh bread each day and the salad bar has been replenished throughout service.  AIP have committed to improving the menu, which will be available after Easter and assured me that it will be less repetitive and there will be more choices that children will recognise and enjoy. We have also planned in some theme days for the Summer Term, as requested by the School Council.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend – enjoy the sunshine!
