We have given our wonderful Year 6 children a super Ascension send off today after a busy few weeks of production, fun days, sports days, design and technology and leavers’ service.

Design and Technology in 6P

In 6P this week, we have been making plans and trying out prototypes for marble runs.

After exploring some commercially produced designs and testing some materials, we are almost ready to begin production on our own. Check back soon to see the finished products.

Art in 6P

In our art lessons, we have been studying the mountain art of Nicholas Roerich. Then we used pastels and pencils to create some fantastic work. We were particularly focused on the sharp ridges and how the light fell on the mountains .

Digital Art

In Year 6, we have been completing a unit of work on digital photography. We were able to take advantage of some excellent lighting earlier in the week to produce some interesting pictures.
