An eggsperiment to save Humpty

Our times for rhymes topic was all about Humpty Dumpty today.  We saw what happened to a real egg when it fell off the wall.  We talked about the parts of the egg that we could see.  Then we set about a challenge to save Humpty.  The children worked with a friend to find a way to protect humpty using a range of resources like cotton wool, bubble wrap and feathers.  Then we sang the nursery rhyme and let each Humpty fall to the ground.  Amazingly only three eggs cracked.  What a good job the children did!
