Head teacher’s update

Well done to our children, who have coped and behaved so well with this week’s heat!

Our Year 6 pupils spent the day at Severn Valley Country Park, on Tuesday, looking at natural habitats.  Rangers at the park commented on how sensible and knowledgeable our pupils were.  Thank you, year 6, for representing the school so well.

This week, we hosted 3 head teachers from other local schools, who came to spend some time with us, thinking about all things maths.  It was lovely to show them around our school and to hear the children talking about maths, with such confidence.

Our youngest children have done some fabulous writing, this week, retelling the story of the Gingerbread Man.  I had lots of lovely visits from children who wanted to share their pride in their writing. I very much enjoyed the visit and the children reading their recounts to me.

Collective Worship – Eucharist

This week, Father Adam led us in our termly Eucharist Service.  The children listened and took part with maturity and thoughtfulness with many asking some excellent questions about the service. Thank you to all of the members of the Parish Community, who came to join us for the service.

School Uniform

We have a good stock of uniform if you would like to place an order before we break up for the summer holidays.

Please note, orders will not be sent out in the last week of term or first two weeks in September.

Thank you.

4J Take One Picture Project

As part of our school’s ‘Take One Picture Project’, 4J have chosen to focus on the boats. We zoomed into the original painting and discussed the details that we could see. We then had a go at re-creating some of the designs and patterns ourselves.
