Forest School 2S

This week, year 2 had another brilliant session, full of creativity, exploration, and connection with nature. We began by discussing how we are all part of nature and how we can take care of our Forest School area.

The children painted with natural earth paints, crafted dens through fantastic teamwork and problem-solving, and got gloriously muddy digging a river in the mud pit! Our mud kitchen chefs also whipped up some imaginative culinary delights.

Snack time we enjoyed fruit kebabs and soft brioche bread under the canopy. We gathered for the story of How the Birds Became Friends, which sparked thoughtful conversations about kindness and how we treat our friends.

There was plenty of hands-on learning, too – the children used a bow saw, hammers, and nails to create their own wooden fidget spinners. We also played a brand-new game that had everyone laughing.

Another magical day in the woods.
